Gregory Kells, Mergers and Acquisitions Master Intermediary, Certified Business Intermediary, Life Member Institute of Business Appraisers, Certified Machinery and Equipment Appraiser, Certified Senior Business Analyst, Licensed Business/Real Estate Broker, is President of Sunbelt Business Brokers Inc. (Canada). His focus on Sunbelt’s development has made Sunbelt the premiere business brokerage in Canada. Gregory Kells is an international entrepreneur with extensive business development, marketing, and management experience. Mr. Kells started the Canadian operations of Sunbelt Business Brokers in 2002 and in addition to opening 27 offices in Canada he is developing business brokerage in 10 other countries. Mr. Kells has served as president/chairman of companies in various industries including the hi-tech industry, manufacturing, business consulting, training, tourism, real estate development, business appraisal, television production and laboratories. Gregory is very much a hands on CEO and his skills and experience are a significant asset to clients. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Yale, and Duke Universities as well as at numerous Canadian Colleges. He enjoys mentoring and is involved in teaching at Sunbelt and for the International Business Brokers Association. Gregory is the supportive husband to contemporary artist Gayle Kells and is the proud father of three children. He is involved in his community on various levels including being the Chair of the Canadian Institute of Nature and the founding Chair of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution. He has been a candidate for leadership of Ontario and is active in numerous community organizations.

Linda joined Sunbelt Business Brokers after a successful 33 year career with TD Bank.As a Small Business Advisor for the past 17 years, Linda understands the challenges facing entrepreneurs and has extensive experience in financing Main Street Banking deals. Her community involvement with the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce and The Kiwanis Club earned her volunteer of the year and gave her a better understanding of the needs of the business community. Linda takes great pride in her customer service skills and looks forward to continuing to serve North Bay and district, helping clients with their their retirement goals and assisting new entrepreneurs with their business start­ups. Linda enjoys spending time with her 2 grandchildren.

Tyler Maslakewycz


Tyler is primarily responsible for performing business valuation analyses, conducting industry research, and preparing and managing marketing documents for our engagements. Tyler joined the Sunbelt team after graduating with honors from Laurentian University’s Bachelor of Commerce program, specializing in Finance. Prior to joining the Sunbelt team and throughout the course of his university studies, Tyler gained experience in procurement positions in the mining industry.

Steve works with buyers and sellers of businesses throughout Northern Ontario. In recognizing the need for business brokerage services for entrepreneurs in Northern Ontario, Steve brings a professional approach as well as the ability to evaluate and analyze the needs of each client on an individual basis. He understands the sensitivity of a business transaction and enjoys working with clients to structure transactions to appropriately suit their requirements. Steve has over 10 years of experience providing private and public companies M&A, corporate finance and investment banking services. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Steve was Vice President, Investment Banking for a number of independent and global investment banks serving corporate clients across a broad spectrum of industries. Steve is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) a global designation earned through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) for professionals engaged in business brokerage and mergers and acquisitions. Steve is also a Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA) and earned a Bachelor of Commerce, Finance (Honours) from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University. Steve is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Ontario. Current professional affiliations include: International Business Brokers Association, NEBB Institute, Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), and Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA). Steve is based in Sudbury where he lives with his wife and two children.
